Day 26

Well today was much more of the same for Rhys, which is good. He is only getting blood gas tests every 12 hours now instead of every 3 or 4 hours. He likes his Zaky and looks like he is catching up on some sleep. He also appears to be doing some more newborn baby behaviors. He yawns when he is tired, he stretches, he cries (though you can't hear him), and he poops now. Apparently the nurse had commented in her notes that it was "extra large", so obviously as a dad I am very proud. He continues to put down the breast milk 3cc's at a time, and he measured in at a solid 13 1/4 inches. We also noticed that his primary doctor is back from his vacation. We saw him in the hallway but he wasn't caught back up to speed yet. Hopefully tomorrow he will come by and let us know what his professional opinion is. Keep up the prayers, they are working! Sorry for the late post!

I love this precious little picture of Rhys! The prayers are working, we will take consistency. We will continue to pray for the little cutie. Poopy diapers, mommy's milk and the primary doctor... wow, those are all GREAT things. I told you, Cody, he would be tall like you. He's growing! Candice, I hope you are resting some better. Hugs from us!
Lots of love,

We are all so happy Rhys is thriving, pooping, eating & sleeping!!! I hope you guys are getting some well deserved rest these days. I know everyone visiting your blog is still praying for Rhys daily and will not be slacking off anytime soon...so don't worry about that! The recent pictures you have posted over the last few days are amazing by the way. He has come so far! You do know his name means "enthusiasm, fiery, and inspired by God" right? I looked it up - I know he is strong, a fighter, and a cutie-pie, but there is no telling what we all are going to see from that little personality in the days, months and years to come!! Isn't it exciting??? I can't wait to see him again! Love and hugs to you all!

Those small steps will lead to a magnificant victory - and our prayers will never cease! The pictures of Rhys with his Zaky are adorable. He seems to really like it. He even looks like he may have his momma's gorgeous hair! He looks healthier and happier every day I see new pictures. We love your updates and it's awesome to hear you both experiencing the joys of parenthood. My favorite time with Colton as a baby was on his changing table - we talked and smiled and played a lot there! I cannot wait for those days for you both as well. Love & Hugs!
