Day 13

Well, all of your prayers must be having an impact. Rhys is still heavily sedated and paralyzed (on purpose) but he seems to be holding steady. We're taking very small steps, but we will take what we can get. His oxygen saturation is back in the 80s and 90s. The latest lung x-ray shows that his left lung is clearing up just a little bit and he is making good pee-pee diapers. He is scheduled for another head ultrasound tomorrow morning to track the status of his brain bleed. Let's hope and pray it will resolve itself and not get worse! Please continue to pray for Rhys' little lungs to clear up and for his brain bleed to not have spread. And thank you to the Kolkhorst family who popped in to see us today. It is very encouraging to hear/see a success story.

Praise the Lord for baby steps of healing. You have quite a strong group of people praying for your family. Candice, you and Cody are strong, faithful, and loving, wonderful parents! Rhys can sense that. What a little fighter you have! Keep fighting Rhys! We're all pulling for you little man!! Our prayers are with you that God will heal his little brain and strengthen his lungs! I'm right down the street, let me know if there is ANYTHING I can do! We love you, all 3 of you!

I continue to pray for Rhys and for the rest of his family. I'm not sure if you have been directed to this or not, but here is a link to a blog for an older set of micro preemie twins, and more importantly, they have links to other blogs for many more micro preemies: http://micropreemietwins.blogspot.com/

Hope this helps...

Oh I am so glad to hear he is stable. We had one of those pit in the bottom of your stomach nights when the Dr said it was grave. Nina bounced back though. The NICU ride sucks and I am glad that you have supporting people in your life to help you through this! Routing for you Rhys!

I have been getting messages sent from all over!! You have a huge prayer chain going. Our God is an awesome God and he will see you all through this. Daniel and I continue to pray each night for the healing of Baby Rhys' precious body. You are all on our minds every second. We will be here through it all. You are all an inspiration to us here and we love you very much. Keep fighting, Precious Baby Boy!!

Like Kelli, I have had a huge number of people contact me and I think everyone here (in southeast Texas at least) knows about baby Rhys and how much he needs our prayers! I am so glad he is holding his own and you are being supported by so many faith-filled people! God is soooo GOOD to us and his work is not done yet! Keep fighting and let us know what we can do to better support you. We are all pulling for you and love you very much!

There is never a moment that goes by that you, Candice and Rhys are not im my thoughts. We pray continuously for baby Rhys' health. He is a strong baby, he is a fighter, he is an Outlaw! That was always the advise from my father, "you can do it, your an Outlaw!"
With all my love,
Amanda
